Vybz Kartel’s Legal Team Expected To Submit Arguments For Appeal This Month

Attorneys representing incarcerated dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel is set to present their main arguments in his appeal case this month.


Vybz Kartel's long anticipated appeal trial is set for February 19, 2018. But before the date arrives, lawyers representing the defendants and the prosecution were ordered to submit their skeletal arguments and file their authority in July or the latest sometime throughout the summer.
This will give the judges adequate time to review their submissions ahead of the trial in February next year.
The artist’s legal team is reportedly already in the process of preparing the necessary documents, and everything is on schedule.

Vybz Kartel and 4 others, including one Shawn Campbell, also known as Shawn Storm, were sentenced to life in prison for the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
