MIKAHALIA REVIEWS : SUNSCAPE SPLASH HOTEL RESORTS & SPA;MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA

Sunscape Splash Hotel Resorts & Spa is located 1 Sunset Boulevard, Freeport, Montego Bay, St .James. Is an all-inclusive hotel which provides three meals a day and meals in between and it is also a kid friendly hotel. Sunscape Splash was recently renovated and is now under new management, owned by Spanish nationals .This hotel also included FREE WIFI on property , an aquatic water-park ,local & international live entertainment ,24-hour front desk services ,24-hour bar & 24-hour casino lounge .There activities include a pirate water park and water sports like scuba diving etc. Tourists were thought the Jamaican cultural knowledge such as or language , dances , cusinsines.

On my arrival on Thursday July 6, 2017 I was greeted with a nice cold fruit punch smoothie that; look quite exquisite which it was indeed it wasn’t too sweet or too fresh, then my luggage was taken by a kind “bellman”, that accompanied me to the check-in line where courteous staff checked me in and gave me brief information about what they included on and off the property. In the lobby looks quite nice with brown wood chairs and a bar that had mixologist serving beverages   When I arrived it was minutes to six, we were late though we were to have been there from two, and it was almost dinner time, so we had to go up to our room and get settled and go ready for dinner which runs from 6-10pm. Dinner along with breakfast and lunch is a buffet service with al a carte. On the buffet service they had different variety of Jamaican meats and rice and a minor amount of international foods. Which TBH I don’t like I expected more International Dishes .They had a variety of sea food like shrimp ,fish etc. which is horrible for persons like me who is allergic to sea food WHAT A TURN DOWN !!!.SO I had to go for some Pasta and Baked Chicken which was good, the chicken on the other hand wanted a little more moisture but it was fairly good.
After dinner I ventured to the entertainment longue where they had Jamaican night where they show-cased Jamaican Folk Dance. After that funny but entertaining event I went to Disco where they had two dj's giving entertainment for the night Disco runs from 11- 2 pm/am. In Disco you can have mixed beverages. Although I don’t discriminate against people there was one and two men who were different from normal men BUT!!! THEY WERE THE SHOW STOPPER, The way the men danced was very interesting them even a wine and a dance better than women .After seeing that me as a woman shame... Because things that I saw them doing where shocking I doubt I can whine so well.
For breakfast the next day they severed waffles, pancakes (Traditional American Breakfast) and Jamaican Breakfast (Ackee & Codfish, Fried Breadfruit).  Which good cause I like American Foods at times, they were cooked to perfection the pancakes could be less dry though.
What I enjoy the most about the food apart from it tasting really GOOD was that they had endless fruits and pastry for meal times. And sometimes they served soup and porridge. For the kids they had a “KIDZ CORNER” which was very interesting. Sunscape is one of the hotels that there food taste amazing because I have been to most hotels and there food doesn’t taste good, it’s awful. Whatever they do with their food is really amazing and that the bonus. They also have a pastry shop where you can have your pastries 24-hours , in this shop they severed a PASTRY OF THE DAY  along with others , iced cappuccino ,ice – cream and hot beverages .  The Iced – Cappuccino was not too strong or weak it was absolutely amazing I really loved it. I think that’s the drink I had the most of. It was mouth –watering.

They have an open grill that served JERK CHICKEN /PORK, CHEESE/HAM BURGERS, FRIES, NACHOS&CHEESE. My fault with the grill was the burgers where very dry, salty and tough, maybe it was the choice of meats but it was not tasty at all. The jerk chicken/pork was only served at 1:30 and as it start to served it was finish ,I never liked that although they taste good I think they need to have more of the jerk chicken/pork, daily there were person who were very upset because it would always finish at 1:35, and jerk is what person wanted the most.. I think they need to put that inconsideration.

The lazy river was so calm and peaceful it was really enjoyable to relax on a float and be drifted around by the waves of the water. The pirate water park was a fright in a good way , the rapid heavy flow of the water that rushed in that tube was very furious it was even more amazing when you go down the slide in that rush having your body been pushed by the water . In the water there is a pirate ship that looked so pleasing to go on but unfortunately no one could enter the ship that was a massive turn down .A lot of people as well as kids and my self-wanted to view the ship we could have only stayed from the outside and look we could barely see so that was the next disaster.
In conclusion Sunscape Hotel & Spa is a breathless, mouth-dropping   hotel for relaxing and having a good time, a fun-filled getaway with all of the privileges of Unlimited-Fun where everything is included. I only had three faults and they are :
1. No one got to go on the Pirate Ship
2. For dinner tMohe first night they had mostly sea food
3. The grill had limited amount of jerk chicken/pork and the burgers taste horrible
