Controversy With Reggae Sum-Fest 2K17 || I-Octane

It is alleged that Dance-Hall/Reggae artist, I-Octane, has been suspiciously removed from the Reggae Sum-fest 2K17 line-up due to not wanting the close the show on the final day.

This year marks the 25th Edition of the locally and internationally known stage-show, Reggae Sum-Fest. This event has taken dance-hall and reggae music all over the world due to it's known associates and music industry performers.
Local and popular artists such as, Alkaline, Aidonia, Mavado, Dexta Daps, Ding Dong, I-Octane, Tommy Lee Sparta and many more artists were usual performers at the above named event, until now.......

Being requested by the host of Reggae Sum-Fest, Joe Bagdonavich, to close the show as he did for last year's staging on the final day, July 22, I-Octane stated that for this 2K17 show, he will be glad to do his great performance but does not want to close off the week long entertainment event, because he's not a "hot artist anymore" so Joe should use someone else to close the show.

Following that conversation, I-Octane, was contacted by the promoter of the Reggae Sum-Fest series and was informed that he will no longer be performing on this year's Reggae Sumfest show and as such requested the King of the Dance-Hall, Beenie Man, to close. Fans are outraged by this decision to not have I-Octane on this year's show and numerous videos have been released expressing mixed emotions of anger, sadness, confusion, etc.

In a video release, by the famous in the streets MC/DJ, Foota Hype, he expresses his concern with the incident stating that, "it look a way, it look like dem stick up Joe and mek him know seh if Octane a work, dem nah work".
Fans have however lashed out in the comments section of the video made by Foota Hype stating that he's creating rumors on popular, dance-hall artist, Alkaline.
